Cron triggers firing repeatedly and randomly

I have a worker setup with 3 cron triggers that run on the 10th, 20th, and 30th minute of every hour. They’ve been setup like this for a couple months with no issues.

This past Friday at midnight the cron triggers started firing off in what seemed to be an endless loop. They were firing every few seconds. I deleted the cron triggers and finally abut 30 minutes later they stopped.

Then on Saturday afternoon they started firing off again in the same fashion. There had been no cron triggers set on the worker for 24 hours at this point.

Any ideas what could be going on?

Other potentially helpful info:

  • There’s 823 invocation statuses of the type “client disconnected”
  • I checked the analytics of the site that calls this worker function and there wasn’t any unusual activity so I don’t see this being some sort of ddos like issue
