Since August 2nd, we’ve observed a significant increase in our GCP billing, specifically tied to “Network Egress via Carrier Peering Network - EMEA Based.” GCP support has confirmed that the implicated traffic originates from Cloudflare’s CDN, yet the exact root and rationale for this billing and traffic anomaly remain unresolved.
Despite our efforts to seek a resolution, our previously escalated support ticket has not resulted in any assistance or updates from Cloudflare support. Our path forward requires access to detailed statistics and logs related to our traffic flow, particularly data bytes transitioning between CF and GCP, covering all data aspects, including caching, CDN, workers, etc. This data is vital to investigate, understand, and hopefully identify the root cause behind this unexpected billing spike.
