I am switching to a new WordPress template. I need to create a temporary subdomain or cloned site to add the new template and make modifications and then switch the domain to point to this new site. How do I do this in Cloudflare? I’m new to the hosting platform and have only done it within GoDaddy. Thanks.
Welcome to the Cloudflare Community.
Aside from Cloudflare Pages, Cloudflare is not a hosting platform. Pages only hosts static sites. It is not capable of hosting WordPress.
The only part of creating a WordPress clone site for development that will occur in Cloudflare is the creation of the DNS record for the subdomain hostname, such as dev.example.com
. You will still need to create the actual development site on your web host.
