I am switching to a new WordPress template. I need to create a temporary subdomain or cloned site to add the new template and make modifications and then switch the domain to point to this new site. How do I do this in Cloudflare? I’m new to the hosting platform and have only done it within GoDaddy. Thanks.
Welcome to the Cloudflare Community.
Aside from Cloudflare Pages, Cloudflare is not a hosting platform. Pages only hosts static sites. It is not capable of hosting WordPress.
The only part of creating a WordPress clone site for development that will occur in Cloudflare is the creation of the DNS record for the subdomain hostname, such as
dev.example.com. You will still need to create the actual development site on your web host.
