Created New Account instead of Changing the Email of the existing account

What is the name of the domain?

seanjago.com

What is the issue you’re encountering

Change the email of an existing account but a new account exists because I created it

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I’ve migrated a website to new hosting for a friend and thought I would create them a Cloudflare account for the DNS and Domain registrations also. I forgot that I had already created them a Cloudflare account years ago under their previous domain name, which is still active, which contains all their DNS information for their various domains. What I should have done was update the email of the original account to the new email instead of creating the new account.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

If I delete the new account, it says I won’t be able to create a Cloudflare account with this email in the future. If I change the email of the new account to one which will never be used for Cloudflare, this would free up the email I want to use for the current account so I can update it. Then I could delete the new account we don’t need. Would that work? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Why not just add the newest domain to their exisitng account and transfer any DNS and configuration?

There is no new domain. All the DNS is on the original account. New new account I created has become the primary domain my friend uses and so is the one he prefers to use for logins etc to match his other online accounts.
