What would you suggest as simple configs on Cloudflare to improve page speed?
There is thousands of possibilities and I dont know what is the “core” for page improvement.

Run your site through GTMetric, PageSpeed Insights, Pingdom Tools, or WebPageTest. That will give you a pretty good idea on what’s slowing things down.

Sure but the big question would be which Cloudflare service I should config to solve each issue.
The big question is what are the issues. Cloudflare can’t fix everything, but it does have different tools (not magic wands) for different problems.
