Assuming your server IP address ends in 80, you’d have a broken SSL configuration on your server, which is the reason for that error. You need to talk to your host and get HTTPS to work properly.
Hi @sandro , Thank for looking into this. I am actually using cloudflare’s free SSL. The site is up most of the time, but, I am getting 520 intermittently. Later the error goes away on reload. This has been happening for past 1 week. I have contacted the hosting partner, they say it’s all good from their end, but the issue lies with Cloudflare.
That won’t work. You need a valid certificate on your server. That’s missing right now and - as mentioned - the reason for the error.
Again, you need to talk to your host. It might be best to pause Cloudflare for now, make sure your site loads fine on HTTPS without Cloudflare, and unpause once that is working.
@sandro Cloudflares free SSL has been working for past 2 months and that works ofcourse. I can pause cloudflare but I will loose SSL then. That is the reason I am not pausing it.
I am afraid we are going in circles. As I said, you need to talk to your host to get SSL. As long as your server is not properly configured you will always get that error.
Talk to your host and get your SSL certificate up and running fine on your server.
For that you could pause Cloudflare as I mentioned earlier. Or you simply get an Origin certificate from Cloudflare and install that instead (the search has all the details here).
