Connection to hosting via NS

Hi! I want to connect to my hosting that only accepts NS-names connections. I wrote them as NS-records in Cloudflare dashboard of my domain and looks like, that nothing changed. So, how can I connect to my hosting with NS-records?

And can I do it with free plan?

It’s not quite clear what you are asking. When you use Cloudflare you point your domain to the assigned nameservers and configure everything on Cloudflare.

What’s the domain?

of my dns settings. You should understand, I think.

So this is a bit tricky.

Some hosts (as it seems like here) require you to use their nameservers. However, Cloudflare requires you to use their nameservers to provide proxying/WAF/CDN services.

The solution here is to ask your host for a CNAME or A record. Setting an NS record as you’ve done won’t work.

This won’t work. As mentioned you need to set up everything on Cloudflare. Contact your host for these details.

The domain itself is properly configured for Cloudflare.

You have a security issue on your server however. You need to fix your server certificate before you use Cloudflare.

If you have to use your host’s nameservers, you cannot use Cloudflare, but that’s something you need to clarify with your host.

Otherwise, you really best pause Cloudflare for now - Pause Cloudflare · Cloudflare Fundamentals docs - and talk to your host to make sure the site is properly configured for SSL. Once your site loads fine on HTTPS, you can enable Cloudflare again.
