Connection Timed Out - Frequently

For all my domains with Cloudflare I have been frequently seeing these sorts of error for about 1 month:

If there is no timeout error all my sites (all with Cloudflare) load slowly at my place.

I did not receive any user complaints or see a significant reduction in traffic however.

My co-worker a couple of hundred miles away doesn’t get these kinds of messages - we have tested the same URL at the same time.

If I turn off Cloudflare my sites load without problems.

So I believe Cloudflare’s Guayaquil node is to blame.

How can this issue investigated better?

Hi @markmuppch,

It is more likely that your server/firewall is rate limiting or blocking connections from Cloudflare’s IPs which is causing this error.

A 522 error typically happens when Cloudflare requests to the origin (your webserver) get blocked. Review the suggestions in this Community Tip for troubleshooting ideas.

Thanks a lot, it seems you hit the nail on the head!.

In the IPv4 List of your community tip, 3 blocks were not present in my csf allow:

108.162.192.0/18
104.24.0.0/14
172.64.0.0/13

I will watch the situation for a couple of days, and then confirm the success definitively.
