Conflicting IP

I am receiving the following because there are two Cloudflare accounts that carry this information. I can’t shut the other one down. What do I do? (I can’t change the A record because I need that in my current setup; I need the other Cloudflare account to be shut down or removed…(that I don’t have access to)

Error 1000

Ray ID: 86a0aacc3c0808d5 • 2024-03-25 17:37:08 UTC

DNS points to prohibited IP

What happened?

You’ve requested a page on a website (sunlandautomesa.com) that is on the network. Unfortunately, it is resolving to an IP address that is creating a conflict within Cloudflare’s system.

What can I do?

Only the DNS records in the account to which the nameservers set at the registrar point will be used. This error isn’t because you have another account for the same domain.

Make sure the 2 Cloudflare nameservers set the at bottom of the DNS page in the account you are using are brad and dayana.
https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/dns/records

Otherwise you will need to change the nameservers set at your registrar.

Error 1000 means your DNS record is pointing to a Cloudflare IP address. It should point at the IP address of your hosting/server.

If your host is not using Cloudflare, then contact them to get the correct A/AAAA/CNAME record to set for your site in the Cloudflare DNS.

If your host is using Cloudflare and this error occurs, you should contact them as likely some configuration is needed at their end.

So I might be misunderstanding (I got thrown in the mix because the guy doing all the work before died) - so we could get into Godaddy and change the DNS records to point to Brad and Dayana. The website was up for about an hour, and I started seeing the above error. The website is hosted through a2hosting, which shows a different IP address than what I see on Cloudflare. (I am wondering if A2 made changes when the IP conflict started?).

That was interesting that the Error 1000 means its pointing to a cloudflare address! I am going to see if these IP addresses posted in A2hosting get me to where I need to be and check back! Thank you for the direction.
