Kindly, could you please cross-check and share your actual domain name in bracketed dot [.] notation (example[dot]com) in your next reply here so we could double-check, troubleshoot and provide some more feedback information about the issue?
From your DNS records screenshot, the A possumlink.com is pointed to the temporary IP address, meaning if you want it to redirect from domain.com to the www, then just add a simple Redirect Rule as follows at article below:
Using helpful article here how to manage and where to click at the Cloudflare dashboard:
Furthermore, www does work as expected from my end:
One last question hopefully you can help me with: If I wanted to (temporarily) redirect all traffic to a specific Youtube video link, is this possible using Cloudflare? If so, how should the rule be configured? Would I need to create a DNS record for the Youtube link?
Thank you, I have created the rule as directed however the redirect doesn’t seem to be working. Could this take some time to come into effect? Or perhaps do my DNS settings need updating?
For possumlink.com does work.
For www.possumlink.com doesn’t work since the CNAME www isn’t proxied .
If you switch from to CNAMEwww it should work, but maybe not since it’s pointed to the Google Sites (might have to remove the CNAMEwww DNS record and add new A www DNS record pointed to the same 192.0.2.1), since Google Sites seems to not work with for some reason due to the SSL issue?
Thank you, I would prefer not to remove the CNAME (DNS only) entry as I am worried that if I remove it I will create a verification issue with Google Sites.
Is there a way for me to keep my current DNS configuration with regard to Google Sites, yet temporarily divert all traffic to a YouTube link?
If you switch to , we’d have to play a bit with Google Sites settings HTTPS/SSL and SSL at Cloudflare to get your Website working.
I’ve done it here (disabled HTTPS on Google Sites, proxied both DNS records and with Flexible SSL with Configuration Rules added 2nd A www and created a Redirection Rule from non-www to www or vice-versa):
Using above, you’d be ready to have Google Sites over proxied both non-www and www, including redirection from www to non-www (or vice-versa) and once you need the Redirect Rule to YouTube would work with single click to enable it.
