this and many other websites cause drama, cant browse Cloudflare hosted websites
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
screamed, waited, screamed again, tried to call, cant reach anyone on the phone, cussed, signed up for a community account to submit our enterprise complaints about this product that is preventing our employees from being able to use many different websites caused by Cloudflare.
What feature, service or problem is this related to?
I don’t know
What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
when trying to access various websites that are using Cloudflare products and blocking access to our enterprise users. What is the point of your products? Anytime I have someone complaining about not being able to access a website, its always caused by a cloudflare product/hosted website. Everytime. Im fed up. I want answers. The employees are fed up. They want answers. Why are we having so much damn drama trying to access websites that are hosted or are using Cloudflare products? Do you have our enterprise network in a block / block list ??? I must find out what the solution is to this problem. I dont have the option to ignore it anymore. I have to be a pest and solve this frustrating issue with your products. What website? MANY MANY what the heck is going on??? Do you have our enterprise network in a block / block list ?
You will need to contact the various websites that have blocked you. Cloudflare provides the firewall services, but it is up to the individual customers to decide who they do and don’t block.
Perhaps the other customers using Fortinet cloud have poisoned the reputation of the shared IP address space. Cloudflare provides security tools for website operators to protect their properties.
If Fortinet is the source of malicious or dubious traffic websites may choose to block or challenge requests from those properties.
They could also simply be operating out of shared cloud providers such as Amazon, Microsoft or Google cloud where those ASNs are often blocked or challenged because on the whole they are sus.
Cloudflare provides tools, they don’t manage customer settings. If I choose to challenge requests for an ASN for whatever reason Cloudflare can’t override my security choices.
It’s not a product manager question, it’s a product customer question. Take one affected user and have them install privacy pass and see if that bypasses the issue. If not, go to the replies from @cscharff and @Laudian
I have a local website that im in communication with. I learned this problem is triggering Bot Fight Mode with Forticlient devices. If I access with an iPhone on the very same IP address it doesnt trigger.
