CNAME Setup for 3rd Party Subdomain

Hello All,

In this issue, we have 2 subdomains of two different domains.

(sub1)example com hosted with Cloudflare and Cloudflare DNS/Proxy Enabled

Now we have client who has sub-domain (secure)doman2 com . He also has Cloudflare account. Now when he adds CNAME record for secure.doman2.com to redirect at sub1.example.com

It is giving Cloudflare won’t let an outside domain CNAME. Even though both domains are within Cloudflare network.

Now how can we create CNAME record for client subdomain … So that content of our subdomain opens in client subdomain without change of URL or sub-domain redirecting.

Below error is what received

Error 1014 Ray ID: 48b1704fd053c32e • 2018-12-18 11:55:08 UTC

CNAME Cross-User Banned

What happened?

You’ve requested a page on a website that is part of the Cloudflare network. The host is configured as a CNAME across accounts on Cloudflare, which is prohibited by security policy.

What can I do?

@codewavetech is this user you’re CNAME’ing to an enterprise customer? for a cross-Cloudflare-account CNAME to work, the target needs to be an enterprise customer (or they might be able to contact support to allow cross-account CNAME).
