CNAME registration might be off

My site is having difficulty (not consistently, but it has been rearing it’s head more often recently) of not being accessible on iOS. No problem with PC or Android. My website hosting is suggesting that my CNAME registration might be off

I cannot recreate what they have suggested as a fix.

which is:

  1. set up a CNAME record for www(.mydomain.org) to point to the siteline (siteline.vendini.com)
  2. set up domain forwarding (sometimes called 301 forwarding) for the bare domain (mydomain.org) to forward to the www address (www.mydomain.org)

If the bare domain is showing (theatre29.org), but the www is not setup correctly, it typically means that the re-direction was setup backwards.

EDIT: Re-doing this post…

The www CNAME should point to siteline.vendini.com
And then create an “A” record for theatre29.org with the instructions below:
Redirect example.com to www.example.com
