Removed and re-added the records (after 3 days), verified the orange cloud isn’t ticked.
When using tools to check the records, it seems to come and go from some of the providers depending when you check.

Screenshot of the error

$ dig +noall +auth _domainkey.mevo.co.nz @dave.ns.cloudflare.com
_domainkey.mevo.co.nz.  300     IN      NS      ns.vali.email.

This NS record is delegating all of “_domainkey.mevo.co.nz” (including it’s sub-domains), and sending it towards Valimail’s name server.

That would mean to have any effect of changes on “_domainkey.mevo.co.nz”, or any of it’s sub-domains, including, but not limited to e.g. “mte1._domainkey.mevo.co.nz”, the change would need to be made on Valimail’s end, with the current set up.

I will therefore suggest that you figure out what you’re trying to do with Valimail, and whether or not that set up is still needed.

If you find that the setup with Valimail isn’t needed any more, … or otherwise not able to figure out anything of why it is pointing that way, … then I would move on the following way:

I would delete the NS record from your Cloudflare configuration, that is pointing “_domainkey.mevo.co.nz” towards “ns.vali.email”.
