CNAME Records for www AND root/naked domains

Hi,

I have set up a CNAME record for www but also need the naked root domain to work. But it’s not pulling through after around 72 hours.

Can anyone please help with this?

The naked domain can never be a CNAME entry, hence why Cloudflare automatically flattens it into an A entry.

So should I change it to an A entry? At the moment the [CNAME] for root domain has a little blue warning triangle beside it.

You don’t need to change it, but it won’t resolve as CNAME entry.

The icon probably simply tells you that.

but when i try to test the naked URL it’s not opening the web page and I get this message:

This site can’t be reached

Check if there is a typo in [domain name]

That has nothing to do with what you configure.

What’s the domain?

www . meeraremani . com

That domain is not using Cloudflare.

How do I switch it then? The domain is paid through SquareSpace
