CNAME record is not being saved as I want

I want to create a CNAME entry with:

Hostname: bounce.mydomain.com
Value: cluster2.emailservicedomain.com

but when I click in “save” the hostname is changed to “bounce” (withouth mydomain.com) so I can’t use my email service. What am I missing?

The full hostname takes up too much space in the dashboard, so subdomains are only listed without the apex domain attached. It’s still there, though. You can see the full entry if you export the records in Advanced mode.

If a CNAME isn’t working as expected, it’s usually because it’s set to :orange: instead of :grey: DNS Only.
