CNAME Record in Apex domain

I have a Cloudflare with multiple domains, and I have configured Cloudflare SaaS on a default domain. I use fallback origin for some external domains. However, I have two domains that are at the root, and I cannot add a CNAME at the root of the domain. I saw a solution called Apex Proxying to proxy to an IP range, but I couldn’t configure it. Can someone help me?

The naked domain must not be a CNAME entry according to the specification. That being said, you can still configure it on Cloudflare, though when resolved Cloudflare will “flatten” that to a regular A entry. So no, you can’t have a naked domain resolve to a CNAME entry.

Hi, Thank you for your help.

I can’t add this domain to Cloudflare, and I need a CNAME at the root. Is there really no solution?

If your DNS provider does not provide a similar feature, then you won’t be able to do that.
