CNAME RECORD Error when I have a "." in the name

with previous provider I was able to have CNAME ie hans.plan pointing to [GHS.Googlehosts]. when I do it in Cloudflare i get an issue indicating a certificate issue.

When I take the “.” out or repalce it with a “_” it works fine.

I have read all the documentation and I cannot find anywhere where cloudflareexcludes the use of “.” in the cname record.

It this a bug, or limitation with Cloudflare, i need to know before I cancel contract with previous provider and move fully to Cloudflare.

Regards Hans

Cloudflare does not cover multi level subdomains without the use of Advanced Certificate Manager
