CNAME not appearing when reviewing my DNS records on the second step of adding my site to Cloudflare

New to this. Created an account and clicked on “Add site” on the top, chose my free plan, and now I have to review my DNS records that Cloudflare shows vs what’s on my registrar. My website’s A, CNAME, and TXT shows up but there is another CNAME record that Bing Webmaster Tools uses to verify my site (for some reason it’s a CNAME and not a TXT like how Google does it). The verify, bing, com CNAME was added and working fine in my registrar’s DNS page but not showing up on Cloudflare when adding my site, that CNAME has a string of letters and numbers followed by the domain as the record’s name.

Do I just ignorer this and continue on with the steps, or do I manually add the record again this time on Cloudflare’s end so that all records match with what’s on the registrar before continuing?

When you add a site, usually Cloudflare imports all the records that’s existing. In any case, if does not appear,

Yes, you can go ahead with the steps and add missing records manually. To achieve that, make sure to follow the following guide:

Since its a cname to be added & verified, make sure to set it as :grey: DNS only. If you have any doubts, you can always :search: in the forum for answers or look into #CommunityTip

Your registrar’s DNS is no longer active once you switch your nameservers to Cloudflare.

You still need to enter DNSSEC into your registrar in order for it to be published in the parent zone.
