CNAME isn't working, or verified

What is the name of the domain?

What is the error message?

“This hostname is not covered by a certificate”

What is the issue you’re encountering

The cname looks to be set up just not covered by certificate. What does this mean?

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Tried reaching out to MailGun as well

What feature, service or problem is this related to?

Try setting that CNAME to :grey: DNS Only. That should fix both issues.

But it is still saying “unverified” in Mailgun! Do you know why?

Give it some time. I no longer have Mailgun check any DNS records until I have independently confirmed them because they seem to cache any unwanted response. They will eventually detect the correct record if it is configured properly.
