CNAME goes to HTTP ERROR 404

I have a tunnel running subapp1.domain.net (ie), this works well in the browser

I’m trying to add a CNAME record such subapp2.domain.net , when i do, the entry gets received without an issue but when I actually type subapp2.domain.net in the browser then it gives me, HTTP ERROR 404,

I have added subapp2.domain.net in a domain list in microsoft, and this created a txt recrod back in the cloudflare: subapp2 MS=ms12345678 , will that cause the issue?
ps. I haven’t connected any services from msft just the registration, so no emails, no skype …

any suggestions?

it turns out I needed to get the A and CNAME records from the Azure directly
