I can’t enable or disable the option:
My domain is a .xyz one if that matters.
There also lots of other greyed out options I don’t have with other domains… like http/2
CNAME flattening at root is enabled by default. If you have a paid account, you can use that menu to flatten subdomains as well. The help link explains a bit, then links to this:
