CNAME (autodetect) record reverted to old record

I wanted to see if there was a reason that one of our CNAME records would have reverted back to the previous CNAME record after a few days. I cleared the Cloudflare cache and changed the Proxy status to “DNS Only” and it now seems to work.

Any thoughts? I just want to make sure I can prevent it from happening again.
