CNAME a Subdomain to a CF Site

I want to CNAME a subdomain to a site I also run.

eg: site.example.com CNAMED over www.targetsite.com

The target site CF DNS is managed by Dreamhost and the name I want to use over it is all managed by me

I turned off the proxy on the subdomain as the target site is already using CF

The problem I have is that it is getting stuck in a “Checking your browser before accessing” loop with ever changing Ray IDs.

I’ll add both are on the Free Plan (if that matters)

I have disabled “Browser Integrity Checks” on both the target and the cname to see if it makes a difference, it does not.

I have even changed the Security settings to be “Essentially Off” on the target domain and STILL it’s not resolving.

Have even tried Development Mode, still no dice.

Any ideas?

Are the two domains on the same account? Are you trying to have the site.example.com display the same content as www.targetsite.com, or use the Origin defined behind www.targetsite.com.

This message is usually associated with “I’m Under Attack Mode”. - I do not have it enabled for either domain

Are the two domains on the same account? - Yes

Are you trying to have the site.example.com display the same content as www.targetsite.com - Yes. I want to have the site at targetsite.com be accessible via site.example.com and be as if that is the only domain (to the end user)
