`cloudflared tunnel` returns error

Hi there,

Sometime today, the cloudflared quick tunnel started returning an error:

2021-10-15T02:40:19Z INF Thank you for trying Cloudflare Tunnel. Doing so, without a Cloudflare account, is a quick way to experiment and try it out. However, be aware that these account-less Tunnels have no uptime guarantee. If you intend to use Tunnels in production you should use a pre-created named tunnel by following: https://developers.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-one/connections/connect-apps
2021-10-15T02:40:19Z INF Requesting new quick Tunnel on trycloudflare.com...
failed to parse quick Tunnel ID: invalid UUID length: 0

Just wondering if this is a known issue?

That’s a relatively new feature, so it shouldn’t be deprecated already.

Is it still not working for you? I just ran it and it did give me a tunnel at a trycloudflare subdomain.

Are you running the latest version? Typing sudo cloudflared update should get you the latest version.

Hi @omar,

Sorry for the inconvenience, we are aware of the issue and working on the fix. Please consider creating a normal tunnel if you need it to be stable.
