Cloudflared tunnel fails with ‘We cannot determine which application you might be trying to log into’

Hi, I have an existing tunnel that has been working fine for the past year. The tunnel is used to support git SSH access to gitlab.

It’s stopped working. As soon as the browser loads to issue a new authentication token to the client, it fails with the message ‘We cannot determine which application you might be trying to log into’ followed by ‘Please ensure cloudflared is updated and try again.’.

i have updated cloudflared on both the client and the tunnel. The tunnel is showing as healthy and supports web browsing to gitlab. It’s just the ssh sunnel that is failing.

cloudflared.exe access ssh-gen --hostname gitlab-ssh.[domain name].com fails with the same error.

In the Cloudflare Zero Trust access logs, I can see ‘access granted’. Still no clue as to what is causing this.
