Cloudflared daemon egress through a http proxy or socks proxy

We have been running 10s of cloudflared tunnels and it works like a charm. We have been migrating to remote tunnel management too. To questions.

  1. Can the cloudflared daemon access(and setup tunnel) CF edge through an existing corp http proxy or socks proxy for egress traffic? The node does not have direct internet access and outbound http is through proxy(with auth).
  2. What’s the protocol used between daemon and edge? Http(s)?
