Cloudflare Zero Trust Private DNS

I have successfully connected my local network, via the docker cloudflared container, to Zero Trust.

I can access internal resources via the WARP Client successfully.

I am following the instructions here https://developers.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-one/connections/connect-networks/private-net/cloudflared/private-dns/ in order to resolve my internal DNS domain.

Step 2 says " 1. Under Networks > Routes, verify that the IP address of your internal DNS resolver is included in the tunnel." but there is no mention of internal DNS on the Networks → Routes Page.

My use case is as follows

Android Device requests local domain (example.local) → WARP Tunnel → Cloudflare ZT → Private Network → Private DNS Server

Am I being thick? Is this something that is not available on the Free Plan for ZT?

I’ve been banging my head against a brick wall for 24 hours now. Any help appreciated.

Late reply, but use “Local Domain Fallback” to achieve what you want.

It is literally explained in Step 4 of your quoted link. Interesting how you got to Step 2 but did not continue with the steps.
