Whenever I click the Verify that you are Human check box, it just spins for a while, then the unchecked checkbox comes back. The problem exists only on Chrome on my laptop. Chrome on my desktop works, even though the version, all the security settings and extensions are identical. Incognito mode doesn’t fix it. I’ve tried disabling all AV stuff, but that doesn’t help either. If I try the same thing on Firefox on the same laptop, it works just fine, no problems. The problem is not limited to one website, any website that requires CF verification has the same issue, even Cloudflare itself. Cloudflare user forums have a number of posts about the same problem, but none of them have any solutions in the posts. I tried to sign up for CF, but guess what, they require CF verification, and it fails. I’m posting this from Firefox.
Are you running the most current version of chrome?
Yes, I am.
Version 126.0.6478.115 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Hi @bram.blenk, could you click on the “Having trouble” link in Turnstile and submit a report with https://community.cloudflare.com/t/cloudflare-will-not-verify-that-im-human/674245
in the text field?
I’m sorry, I’m not sure what Turnstile is. I tried looking it up on the Cloudflare website, but I just got a sales pitch. Someone on Reddit suggested this a couple of days ago: Cloudflare Turnstile Example. I had the same problem there. Is that where you want me to go?
BTW, myFitnessPal is not the only website that is giving me problems. I have the same issue with Topaz Labs. I spent about a week emailing back and forth with their support staff, and they finally gave up and said they had no idea how to fix it. I cannot access my account there now, unless I use a different browser.
OK, I think I figured it out. Turnstile is the page where you click on the Verify that I am Human checkbox. Colour me a newby when it comes to Cloudflare. I don’t get the Having Trouble Link at all on the page that I see. I have a video capture of the verification page going through the process, but I can’t seem to find a way to upload it, I’ll upload a sceencap of the page after it has gone through the verification process a few times.
This image is what I get when I have the problem on any website I normally use.
I do get the Having Trouble link when I use the link the Reddit guy gave me. I’ll include that image in the next reply, since I can only post one image at a time. Let me know if you want me to click on that Having Trouble link, I have no idea what taslabs.net is, so I’m a bit hesitant to use that link.
Screenshot from taslabs.net attempt to verify.
BTW, the Reddit guy’s handle is Cloudflare_Tim if that helps.
OK, so MyFitnessPal has solved the issue, I can now log into their website and use without seeing the Verify that you are Human screen. Everything is working fine on their website, but I still have the same problem when I try to log in on the Cloudflare website when using Chrome.
I just wanted to share that I had a similar frustrating experience. I discovered, though, that I was using a privacy extension in Chrome, which blocked things like fingerprinting. The second I added the website to the allowlist and refreshed it, my problems disappeared. I didn’t even consider this extension could be the problem, so I wanted to share this with anyone else who might be using a privacy protection extension.
