Cloudflare Warp desktop concerns

With Cloudflare Warp coming to Desktop, I believe it may be necessary to address why PoPs go offline or show as “partial outage” so frequently

The status page https://www.cloudflarestatus.com/ doesn’t include in their RSS feeds when PoPs go offline or have a “partial outage”, so I have been logging it since November last year

As you can see PoPs go online and offline very frequently, some more than others.

So if a user is playing a game with WARP on, and their PoP goes offline (which is likely to happen at some point), they will become disconnected from the game.

This leads me to two questions:

  1. Why do these PoPs go offline and online so frequently? What is going on?
  2. Is this issue going to be addressed when Cloudflare Warp comes to Desktop?
