Cloudflare WARP Client (macOS) continuously disconnecting

I’m on a 2024 MacBook Pro with macOS Sonoma 14.4.1 (23E224) and running the latest version of the Cloudflare WARP client (2024.3.407.0, as of writing this).

We are running the standard “Gateway with DoH” option for the WARP client, and primarily using it for DNS filtering with some basic firewall policies.

The client continuously disconnects and reconnects itself throughout the day. I can confirm this is not my Internet connection as I’m not seeing the same behavior on other devices.

This is a similar issue to: Latest WARP (May '22) on macos keeps disconnecting

Hi,

Can you check your firewall settings to make sure that WARP is not being blocked?

Ryon,

Did you ever get this sorted? Im seeing the same thing here at my shop with most cases being Remote users but now some(few) on office users are getting these and its becoming more concerning by the day.

Which firewall? Software or hardware?

@joe.martin I think so. I realized I had the wrong service mode for the Cloudflare WARP app. I had the “Gateway with WARP” option enabled on the endpoints but wasn’t leveraging any DLP functionality. So, I had to change it to the “Gateway with DoH” service mode. Also, for some reason, I had “Private Relay” enabled in my iCloud settings, so I disabled that. Doing both of those things seems to have stabilized the connection.
