Again, I emphasize that at both CF and Shopify this topic seems to be in deep secrecy and both sides are refusing detailed and reliable information on the matter.
Since I obviously won’t be able to use the CF WAF due to the problem described so far and have to abandon CF as well, which is a loss of a paying customer for them, I hope someone to can finally provide some credible information at this point.
I may have missed it, but what problem have you described and where? I do not see topics here about waf issues with shopify nor any tickets that you have with Support. Can you describe what issue you are encountering?
My problem is CF says I can use their WAF and Shopify says under no circumstances should I use CF O2O, which means I can’t use CF WAF.
I want to be aware of the potential risk to the normal functioning of our site.
I think it’s a problem that I’m trying to figure out who the liar is in this case.
Thank you for your patience and for staying here with us. I wanted to follow up regarding our recent discussion about using Cloudflare (CF) services with Shopify, particularly concerning caching, speed optimization, and the Web Application Firewall (WAF).
After consulting with our Technical Support team, I received some important insights that I believe will clarify your questions:
Cloudflare’s O2O Feature: At this time, Shopify does not support the use of Cloudflare’s O2O feature. This means that you cannot enable this feature to access CF services such as WAF and caching, and attempting to do so could result in functionality problems.
