Sorry to hear about these 522 errors. I don’t see a RayID in your screenshot, but I can reproduce the issue. As the error message indicates, there’s a timeout when Cloudflare attempts to reach the origin.
In further testing, I see that Cloudflare is not able to connect to the origin server. In running an MTR, I can see requests make it into your host’s infrastructure, but are blocked before they can reach your origin server.
Please reach out to your host to make sure they are allowing all requests from Cloudflare’s IP addresses listed at www.cloudflare.com/ips
If you need more details on the issue, please post your Case #, and we will be glad to follow up in the ticket.
Hello cscharff,
I can’t find where to pause Cloudflare. I see my site. I see an ‘Active’ with a checkmark on it. You’d think by clicking that you could toggle it’s status, but you can’t. There’s not even a description on how to do so.
If is paused an the origin still responds with an error ask your host to recheck. When Cloudflare is paused the DNS lookup points to your origin directly and the issue (if any) should be resolvable by your hosting provider.
