Hi, what’s the difference between these two services? Or is it just the same?
Looking for a VOD solution. Thanks.
Hi, what’s the difference between these two services? Or is it just the same?
Looking for a VOD solution. Thanks.
You upload videos to Cloudflare and it handles transcoding it to smaller resolutions, providing an endpoint, and providing a video player.
We cache and deliver HTTP(S) video content, including adaptive bitrate formats, to your visitors at a flat-rate price, saving you on origin server bandwidth costs.
You run any regular HLS or DASH hosting server and CF intelligently caches video parts. This allows you to keep using regular video infrastructure without depending on CF too much, while still using the powerful datacenter network Cloudflare Global Network | Data Center Locations.
If you want more information and specific pricing for stream delivery, you should visit the stream delivery page above and click ‘contact sales’. They’ll give you a quote for how much it costs.
Thanks!
Does Cloudflare Stream support audio-only files? Like podcast files that could be streamed to a site or embedded into blog posts? And there is an “app” for embedding the cloudflare videos into a site, what kind of additional data can be collected on the video? (e.g. amount of viewing/listening time per visitor, percent complete, etc.)
Thanks for your help!
