Cloudflare still pointing to old hosting

Hello - I recently took over a website and created a brand new Cloudflare account for it, but when I point the nameservers, the website is pointing to the old hosting servers.

When I update the DNS and point the A Records directly to my hosting, it works fine, but when I try and use Cloudflare, it points to the old hosting.

How do I fix this? TIA.

What is the ‘old hosting servers’ in this case, was it a SaaS platform or a server that you owned?

It is a WordPress site going from a WP Engine server (via Cloudflare) to a Cloudways server (via Cloudflare).
