Cloudflare SSL questions

Im confused on the whole concept of Cloudflare’s SSL offerings. I just moved my DNS over to Cloudflare. Currently the Universal Edge Certificate is protecting *.[domain] and .[domain] One of these obviously is a wildcard to protect all of my servers. How does this relate to an SSL already on the server from Godaddy protecting that server’ sub domain name? ( Server bindings to Godaddy SSL) Or does it relate at all? Do I still need my Godaddy Certs to protect the server example.domain.com ?

The Edge certificate secures the connection between your visitors and Cloudflare.

The certificate on your server is still required to secure the connection between Cloudflare and your server.
