Cloudflare SSL Certificate Delay

I’ve been waiting for an SSL certificate to be issued.

  1. It’s been over 24 hours.
  2. I’m not sure how to tell the status. My account shows Universal SSL Status - Active Certificate
  3. Free domain plan
  4. “Not Secure” message in the address bar
Test Results on Why No Padlock site show:
  • Domain Matching
  • Your SSL certificate does not match your domain name!
  • Protected Domains:
  • *
  1. Hosting with Hostgator on Baby Plan
  2. Signed up directly on Cloudflare
  3. I’m not sure how to submit a ticket if that’s what I’m supposed to do first.

Thank you!

There’s no delay then. It’s a configuration issue.
Your server shows a certificate from Hostgator. I guess the shown error is “bad cert domain”?

Would you mind to tell us your domain?

The Certificate seems to be fine now. But now there’s another error:

Is it a Wordpress page?
Are you using Fexible SSL?

I am using self hosted wordpress if that’s what you’re asking. Yes, I did set it to Flexible SSL. I think now I’m completely locked out of my site. I’m getting that message when I try to log in or type the url in the address bar.

Don’t know if this helps but I spoke to Hostgator and they told me to get the A record from the Cloud flare and update the A record in DNS settings on Hostgator servers.

Pause Cloudflare or set the according records from :orange: to :grey:

You should be able to access your page after a few minutes.
Login to your admin panel and install this plugin:

Thank you. I followed the steps above but when I type in my domain it the address bar an error message displays saying “this page isn’t working.” Then seconds later it switches to the secure padlocked https version of my site url but this “503 Service Temporarily Unavailable” message is displayed on the page.

Quick question. Does it matter whether the primary url is or

I think my wordpress url is https://naturaltwirl but google analytics is https://www.naturaltwirl.
