Cloudflare refusing to comply with DMCA

I put in a DMCA request to get the host of a website hosting copyrighted material. I have been doing this for a week or so with no issue. Now I am suddenly being refused and told I must provide them with a URL of the original material.

I have fully descripted the video in question and sent a screenshot. They tell me that they must see the full video in its original form from its original source. There is no original source. It is not a commercial product, but rather a case of revenge porn. I have explained this time and time again, but the person I am speaking with will not budge. I had no issue with DMCA requests to cloudflare before this.

Is this employee just being needlessly stubborn and making things hard for no reason?

And I must say, that cloudflare asking to see the full video in question in a case of revenge porn is indeed problematic.

Hi @gc456,

I’m sorry to hear about the issues you are having, but unfortunately the community cannot help with any abuse related issues. The Trust & Safety Team have the final say on this and only they can help you with the issue.

You may want to go to your local authorities and see if you can get a takedown request that way. Alternatively you may be able to submit it through an abuse category other than DMCA at Abuse form | Cloudflare | The web performance & security company.
