Cloudflare Partner/Tenant Accounts WAF Issue

What is the name of the domain?

ARPHost provides enterprise-grade Managed Hosting, scalable Virtual Servers, advanced VirtualPBX solutions, Cloudflare management, expert technical support, and secure business email—engineered for sustained growth.

What is the issue you’re encountering

Greetings, unfortunately the domains under our cloudflare partner/tenant account on pro plans are unable to utilize waf new ruleset update option due to it being not present on the dashboards of the specific domains, it even shows us that we have ability to change into the new cloudflare dashboard but then we can not because it says: “A new security dashboard is available, however your domain is using deprecated rule types that are incompatible with the new dashboard. Follow our guides to migrate deprecated WAF features to their latest versions.” And cloudflare doesn’t provide support for pro plans except for AI support case solver or community, any help from a cloudflare representative in this matter much be greatly appreciated.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Look into the error causing to now show the WAF new ruleset update option under Managed Rules tab.

Was the site working with SSL prior to adding it to Cloudflare?

Yes

What is the current SSL/TLS setting?

Full

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Go-to arphost.com or qreg.net website properties under cloudflare account and then go-to WAF > Managed Rules tab.

Screenshot of the error

You are using the old version of Managed Rules and the Managed Ruleset, as the message says you need to upgrade to the newer version before you can use the new dashboard.

There’s usually a green banner on the page to do that but you are on a phone so the screen is probably too small. Click the link in the red box for instructions, or here…

There is no option on my pc either and api also returns that our zone is not compatible.

Does this apply to you?

Otherwise you could try disabling those previous versions if you’ve not done anything customised in there and see if the new version appears.

Failing that you’ll probably need to raise a support ticket to find out what’s happening.

We don’t have any URI-based WAF overrides as shown by the api:

Most likely a Cloudflare’s issue.

No response from Cloudflare either on support case since Monday, I opened the ticket on weekends .

The support case was opened at 3/22/2025, 12:08 AM GMT+5 still no response, any recognition from Cloudflare’s representative here would be much appreciated.

11/04/2025 Update: I confirm that there have been no update from Cloudflare’s team, I also emphasize that the issue is critical and it is impacting our web services security.

4/14/2025 10:17 PM: Cloudflare AI responded to our support case to overview the problem and ask for confirmation, hopefully a tech representative handles the case soon and our issue is resolved in a timely manner.
