Describe the issue you are having:

We’re evaluating Cloudflare Pages to build and deploy a large Gatsby-based project that currently generates just over 100K pages and over 200K assets in total.

While the Gatsby build completes, Cloudflare’s build step fails with this:

17:24:24.600 Error: Exceeded 20k asset limit. Total assets: 205740
17:24:26.173 Failed: an internal error occurred

The docs say that the 20,000-page limit applies to the free plan. However, it’s unclear which plan we need to purchase to exceed this limit.

This is a hard technical limit that currently can’t be exceeded.

That’s too bad because Cloudflare Pages beats other services on build time by a mile, and still we’re unable to use it because of that limitation.

You can get over it by using another image CDN.
