Cloudflare Pages Caching

I had a question about Cloudflare Pages.

I read that it automatically handles caching. Would this mean that setting a page rule to Cache Everything would not provide an increase in caching?

Also, how long do the files cached by Pages last in the cache?

For instance in the help files it says:
"Every time you deploy an asset to Pages, the asset remains cached on the Cloudflare CDN until your next deployment. "

Which sounds like it lasts indefinitely up until the next deployment, but it also says this:
“Assets have a time-to-live (TTL) of one week but can also disappear at any time.”

Which makes it sound like the assets remain cached for only a week at most.

Which is true?

Pages handles caching for you. You don’t need to (and shouldn’t) add any caching on top of it, and you don’t need to worry about it.

What about enabling Tiered Cache?

No, there’s no point to that. Tiered Cache kind of works similar to what Pages does anyway.

Pages stores your assets in KV, so they go to a couple of “core” locations. Then, the assets get cached at different datacenters around the world according to usage. This all happens without you needing to do anything extra.
