Cloudflare not serving DNS. Site transfer will not propagate

  1. IT Support contact for domain register ‘X’ (not Cloudflare) has altered A record in order for website to be transferred from host ‘Y’ to new host ‘Z’
  2. Propagation process has so far lasted 3 days… Host ‘Z’ is waiting for DNS to be served by Cloudflare and can see that it has not been
  3. IT support contact and myself are confused because neither of us has any Cloudflare involvement or account (I only created one in order to raise this query) and there are no visible Cloudflare components in the current WP CMS

Can anyone tell me where Cloudflare come into this equation? I have an impatient client, expecting an updated website on a new host and no clue how to make it so.
Thanks

No issues, I adjusted your permissions so that you will not get that error going forward.

For abfm.co.uk I see Cloudflare nameservers

Those nameservers were first seen 2020-10-07 (3 years),

If you’re unsure who added the site to Cloudflare, perhaps knowing the timeline may help in tracking that down.

Alternatively, you could try using these account recovery tools in hopes that whoever is on the receiving side reaches out to IT, that’s a long shot. Ultimately, the only way you’ll be able to gain access is by having access to the email address of the account holder. The password recover option below will kick off an email the the person that holds the access.

These links may help and they only work when logged out of Cloudflare
