Cloudflare not recognizing namserver changes on squarespace

What is the name of the domain?

What is the issue you’re encountering

Updated the nameservers to point to cloudflare on SquareSpace’s dashboard, had no movement in 4 days.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I contacted Squarespace regarding this issue, they emailed back relatively quickly insisting it’s a Cloudflare issue, despite me having no issues in the past here.

This domain isn’t pointing to Cloudflare at the registrar. You need to update it in your registrar settings.

Hi there, I did this days ago as stated in my post. My solution was to just move the domain somewhere else.

As @cscharff stated, this hasn’t been done successfully, … yet.

You need to get the delegation of name servers changed in the parent registry, through your domain registrar.

ns-cloud-e1.googledomains.com
ns-cloud-e2.googledomains.com
ns-cloud-e3.googledomains.com
ns-cloud-e4.googledomains.com

is still the name servers in the parent registry for that domain.

The link @cscharff mentioned, is confirming this, and a direct DNS query travelling all the way from the root zone and downwards towards the mentioned domain, is confirming this, as well.

It also appears that the above googledomains.com name servers has been the only ones used, since the mentioned domain’s registration on 2024-10-19, and up until now.

And you will need to continue contacting them, until they assist you fixing the problem.

Name server delegation issues will always be something you will need to take up with the domain registrar.
