Cloudflare name servers override

Hello,
I have been assigned the couple name servers (NS) brynne.ns.cloudflare.com and chase.ns.cloudflare.com with my account. I used them to validate the configuration of a domain on Cloudflare. Let’s call it xxx.com.
I have a free plan. Everything is working fine. I can access xxx.com and the DNS checker tools provide me with the right info (NS are brynne and chase, DNS zone is the one I expected).

But I would like to use different Cloudflare NS for each domain name on this account. I would not like to use vanity NS (ex: ns1.xxx.com and ns2.xxx.com). I would like to be able to use any of the NS of Cloudflare.

So I changed randomly the NS on my registrar (namebright) to deborah.ns.cloudflare.com and katelyn.ns.cloudflare.com.
The domain xxx.com is accessible… But I still see brynne and chase as NS on tools!

Why?
How could I change the nameservers for good?

Thanks in advance.

That’s not a good idea, because this will invalidate your domain and Cloudflare will drop it. You can only use the nameservers which were assigned to your domain (not account) and no others.

If you are on a Business plan, you could use custom nameservers - Custom nameservers · Cloudflare DNS docs

Thanks Sandro for your time.

I don’t want to use custome NS or vanity NS.

So the only solution would be to create a new account for each domain name?

And according to this support info from cloudflare it is said one common cause for zone deletion is:

The nameservers no longer point to Cloudflare. Cloudflare continuously monitors domain registration.

But in my case the NS still point to cloudflare, just a different NS than the ones associated to my account. And yes, the 2 NS are the same accros all domains, so I believe the NS are assigned on an account level (at least in free plan). But I would be very happy to find an option to force new NS for my domains on a same account.

That would be somewhat accurate. Nameservers are still domain and not account specific, however with different accounts you’ll likely have different nameservers.
