I am an Esports coach for a High School… We are encountering a cloudflare loop when signing into EpicGames on our PC’s and signing into nintendo on our Switch consoles. Tech has asked me to reach out to Cloudflare, Epic and Nintendo for resolution. Thanks!
Is there a way to tell if we were blocklisted?
@chgoldsmith, we are experiencing this issue too, with Epic Games, not nintendo switches (yet). I’m curious about your environment?
What Operating Systems do you guys use on your computers?
If Windows, do you know the version of Windows and what OS build you have?
What browser do you guys use?
Do you use a web-filter solution? If so, which one?
We have implemented all recommended URLs from Epic games and still seeing the loop. Thanks!
@jbowers Sorry to hear you are dealing with the same headache!
- We use Windows 10 at the moment (I so not know the specific build at this time).
- We use Chrome but I’ve also tried with edge and firefox.
- Web-filters we use are LightSpeed Systems and SentinelOne.
We’ve done the same thing and are still seeing the loop when using the launcher but it allows us to get past it sometimes if using Chrome now. (Can only log into epic account but cant launch any games from this).
Which web-filter systems do you use? Thanks!
We use Windows 10 as well.
We also use Edge
We also use Lightspeed Systems.
In my testing with Lightspeed, I removed the client altogether and found that the looping issue went away completely. Re-adding the client reintroduced the issue. I’ve sent LS Support some logs and I’ve noticed that the looping behavior seems to have gone away both for my test device and a couple devices out at the sites, curious if you’re seeing the same behaviors?
We also use Lightspeed in our district and started having this issue with Epic Games and Cloudflare verification loop.
In Lightspeed Relay, we excluded from SSL decryption the following: epicgames.com
, unrealagent.com
, js.hcaptcha.com
.
Good luck!
Thanks for the reply, we tried excluding the same URL and have had no luck. Still trying some things and will post if we come across a solution. We do believe the issue is being caused by our Lightspeed Systems filter.
Have either of you guys had luck yet? We have tried everything and the issue just keep returning for us.
I’ve had this problem since the 15th of February where the Epic Games launcher is making me do a captcha to sign in. The problem is that when I click to verify that I am human, the captcha doesn’t work and refreshes making me do it again resulting in an infinite loop. I also noticed that every website that uses Cloudflare captchas is also making me verify I am a human every time I try to visit them as well. I have tried using different browsers and incognito mode to see if would fix the problem and it didn’t. I am not using a VPN of any sort either. At first, I contacted Epic Games support (seeing as the problem started with the launcher I thought I should contact them) and they haven’t been able to help me. I was also told that it could be my internet, but I am not having the same problem on my phone or any other device that is connected to the internet. I noticed that all of these problems were happening at the same time and they all had Cloudflare in common. I was wondering if this is anything Cloudflare can do to help me diagnose the problem, or at least point me in the direction of a solution. I appreciate any help that I can get.
@jbowers
We were able to resolve the Issue through Lightspeed support. This is the response we received when we asked about what change fixed the issue:
“An SSL decryption was recently changed by the vendor that needed updated in our normal decryption that we automatically apply.”
Hope this helps!
Did you find an solution? I have the same problem sinds 12 March.
