What is the issue you’re encountering
Webistes on Cloudflare taking ages to load from Russia.
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
Tried changing all kinds of settings, nothing seems to help. ECH is off. TLS 1.3 on/off - no difference.
After disabling Cloudflare - everything works fast, as expected (see screenshots).
But Lightspeed is a bit lying here, the real picture is even worse, probably 10x worse than it shows.
The main problem is with JS, images and file downloads, the speed is around 100-300 kb per sec max!
This is not a problem with Cloudflare itself, it is a problem with traffic filtering.
And it happens selectively for different providers. A similar story happened with YouTube - it was slowed down to the point of being impossible to use, or Instagram, which was completely blocked.
By law, providers are required to install government traffic monitoring systems. These systems automatically implement new filtering rules, but this happens unevenly. Therefore, some users may still be able to use a service normally for some time. And there have been no official statements about Cloudflare being blocked or slowed down.
Main question is: are there any Cloudflare settings that can improve the situation?
At the end of 2024, ECH technology was blocked and could be disabled for the website via an API request because there is no such option in the settings.
Maybe there is something similar in this case? The main thing is - what exactly?
