It appears that Cloudflare is indeed routing but the connection fails. Follow the linked 522 message here for details on how to troubleshoot and resolve on your origin.
It seems connection get lost in Cloudflares IP’s. If you do a traceroute the last hope are all Cloudflare IP’s.

Yes. A trace route will never go further than the Cloudflare IP. That is the client’s destination address. You can traceroute any functioning website on Cloudflare and see the same behavior.
As the troubleshooting article describes the issue is between Cloudflare and the origin server. You will need to read the article and follow the steps to determine the issue and resolve.
