Cloudflare sites stopped loading in Russia
Hello everyone. Censorship in Russia has gotten even stronger, damn them. Cloudflare is being blocked even more. You need to help the people of Russia know the truth and use the service as before. Please do something so that it works again in Russia.
Today, in June 2025, Roskomnadzor finally blocks the cloudflare service. The sites simply stopped loading. Also, the cloudflare.com site itself does not load from Russian mobile operators. The news says that Roskomnadzor is blocking cloudflare.
I am truly sorry to hear this happen.
I am not quite sure (yet) how Cloudflare could help further, since it’s related more and more to the government rather than the ISPs in the particular country 
I heard that there is a way out and for example the bunny.net service is already successfully using it. They changed locations and IP for Russians and thus do not fall under blocking in Russia. I do not want to leave cloudflare for anything and I sincerely hope that you will find a solution for our big country, because people are not a state and we need truth and freedom.
Apparently, they are not blocking DNS yet, but IP from cloudflare is being blocked. Probably, something needs to be done specifically with IP. Implement it so that IP is not related to cloudflare when checking in whois.
You can help so that ECH is not forced to be enabled, but is everyone’s choice. The thing is that at the end of the year ECH was forced to be enabled, which is why the damn Roskomnadzor in Russia went crazy and threatened to block Cloudflare.
Unfortunately, it’s not only ECH, rather HTTP/1/2, TCP and TLS, followed by HTTP/3 and Quic.
Even mobile operators have issues because of those massive waves of mobile internet restrictions by Roskomnadzor.
Cloudflare surely urged the site operators in Russia to lobby local entities to lift restrictions as that affect everyone.
The thing is that the Internet works. Google services and so on work, but sites that are behind cloudflare do not work because Roskomnadzor blocks connections, IP addresses specifically for cloudflare. A lot of Russians (more) need truthful information and an open Internet, and not isolation from the state. We really hope that you will be able to solve this problem.
And this is something that will need to be addressed with “Roskomnadzor”, as well as the Russian ISPs that participate in the censorships.
I will agree 100% with this, - not only for Russians, but for everyone across the world.
“You” as in Cloudflare?
There is nothing that Cloudflare can do, regarding these government censorships.
The problem can be solved if it is simply not visible from the IP that it is cloudflare. Censors simply will not block them. They are blocking everything related to cloudflare now.
Cloudflare isn’t a government censorship evasion tool. They aren’t going to try to get around the decision by the Russian government to censor access to a freee and open Internet.
