What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
My website, vistaalmar.es, is one of those affected by the blockades imposed by the Spanish Football League on some CouldFlare IP addresses.
The court has ruled that these blocks can continue. Therefore, I ask:
Will CouldFlare appeal this ruling to higher courts, such as those of the EU?
Is there any way to change the CouldFlare DNS servers for the website? The block doesn’t affect another domain I own on CouldFlare; these are the unaffected IP addresses: 104.21.9.234 and 172.67.131.15.
Could the Warp application be deployed on a server running Rocky Linux?
Would CouldFlare’s Pro plan give me the option of a dedicated IP address and avoid the block?
The DNS servers don’t have any effect, it is the IP address you are allocated that is the problem. Those can’t be changed or the blocked sites would do the same and then all of Cloudflare’s IP space would eventually be blocked.
Warp is a client application for tunnelling outbound requests through Cloudflare, is that what you want to do? Tunnelling incoming requests requires cloudflared on the server but that won’t help get round any blocks since the public IP address would still be the Cloudflare proxy.
Dedicated IP addressing requires an add-on to an Enterprise plan. Changing to a Pro plan will change your IP addresses from what they are now on a free plan, but there is no guarantee that those new IPs aren’t shared with a site that is currently, or may be in the future, the target of a block.
Thanks for your response, SJR, but I have another domain on CouldFlare with the same servers (aragorn.ns.cloudflare.com and melinda.ns.cloudflare.com) that has a different IP address (104.21.9.234) that isn’t blocked by LaLiga. So is it just luck that you get one IP address or the other?
