For a specific project we want to use the CDN caching features of cloudflare for a specific site but the customer does not want to change it’s nameservers to cloudflare. Does cloudflare support this type of setup ?
The current nameserver wants to resolve and send the request to cloudflare and then cloudflare takes over ?

Found the solution !
A CNAME setup allows a customer to maintain authoritative DNS outside of Cloudflare. It allows individual subdomains to benefit from Cloudflare’s services without requiring updates for a domain’s registration to point to Cloudflare’s nameservers for DNS resolution.
Yep. Works great if you’re on a Business or Enterprise plan. Not available on Free or Pro plans, though.
